Humble woman charged with murder

An Humble woman has been charged with murder for causing the vehicular death of a woman in Humble in 2013, according to the Harris County District Clerk’s Office.

Ashley Mere Howard, 22, was allegedly evading police after shoplifting from Deerbrook Mall on May 23, 2013, when she ran a red light and crashed into a car driven by the victim, Rosalva Quezada, according to the Humble Police Department.

Howard had allegedly stolen more than $1,000 worth of shirts from a store at the mall, which is a felony.
