Victim stabbed to death at 166 Winkler Drive

Houston police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a man at 166 Winkler Drive about 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
“Officers responded to a person down call at an apartment complex at the above address and found the victim lying in the parking lot,” HPD Homicide Division Sergeant W. Meeler and Officer V. McLean reported. “Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. He had been stabbed.”
The victim, described only as a Hispanic male, had no identification on him. He is believed to be in his mid to late 20s, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing about 140 pounds. He was wearing a brown and tan striped sweater and black jeans.
There is no known suspect nor motive, though it appears robbery was not a motive. Investigators believe there are a number of witnesses who have not come forward. Anyone with information in this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
