Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives are asking the public for help in identifying and locating two suspects wanted in connection to a shooting that left a man critically injured this weekend.
The incident occurred Sunday at about 2:45 a.m. HCSO deputies were dispatched to 9002 Cheswick, Dr. in reference to a shooting at the “K Food Stop” convenience store.
When deputies arrived they found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported by ambulance to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition where he remains. Witnesses told deputies the victim was shot by a Hispanic male who was driving a black or dark-colored truck, possibly a Dodge Dakota, with light-colored racing stripes on the hood and cab. The suspect fled the scene immediately after the shooting with a passenger, who is also described as a Hispanic male.
Part of the shooting was captured on surveillance video.
Anyone with information on the suspects’ identity and/or location is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of wanted fugitives. All tipsters remain anonymous.
Investigation into Fatal Traffic Accident at 100 East Crosstimbers
Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 100 East Crosstimbers about 8:55 a.m. last Friday (Oct. 10).
The identity of the male victim, 82, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant G. Hall and Officer T. Van reported:
The driver of an 18-weeler truck was traveling northbound on Fulton and was making a right turn onto East Crosstimbers. The victim, a pedestrian, stepped off the curb on the northbound side of Fulton . When he saw the trailer, he attempted to step back onto the curb. The victim then stumbled and fell to the ground, and was struck by the trailer. He was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead today (Oct. 14).
The investigation is continuing.
Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 9400 Ketchwood Drive
Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found at 9400 Ketchwood Drive about 10:25 p.m. on Monday (Oct. 13).
The victim, Johnathan Wilkerson, 29, was pronounced dead at the scene.
HPD Homicide Division Officers C. Liu and G. Sullivan reported:
HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call at the above address and found Mr. Wilkerson lying in the street, deceased.
At this time, there is no known motive nor suspect (s).
