|On Monday, 09.08.2014, at approximately 3:10 p.m., Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to an “In Progress” call, at a home, in the 7400 BLK of Welsh Stone LN, in the Imperial Forest subdivision of east Harris County. When deputies arrived on the scene, they met with one of the residents. The male stated he returned home from work, around 3 p.m. and noticed the overhead garage door was open. He entered the house and discovered his roommate, Jose Bonilla W/M 52 YOA, lying bound and unresponsive, inside the house. EMS responded to the scene and determined Jose Bonilla was deceased from a gunshot wound.Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit responded to the scene. They learned Jose Bonilla was self-employed as an automobile broker. Jose Bonilla would often conduct sales transactions at his residence on Welsh Stone LN. Neighbors reported seeing a white male and heavy set white female, mid to late 30’s, at Bonilla’s residence between 8:15 and 9 a.m., Monday morning. The couple was driving a light colored 4DR sedan. Robbery appears to be the motive.
Homicide Investigators are reviewing surveillance video, obtained from the scene, in hopes of identifying the suspects. Portions of the video should be available for release to the media Wednesday afternoon.
