A 21-year-old Atascocita man was arrested on child pornography charges today, according to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit and Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The suspect, Rodrigo Garza, was allegedly sharing images of child sexual assault over the internet. Working off a tip from the Beaumont Police Department, investigators executed a search warrant at Garza’s home at 4219 Arbor Knoll Court and discovered numerous images of child sexual assault on his laptop.
During the execution of the warrant, investigators, Garza provided a voluntary statement in which he acknowledged he was the person who had been downloading images of child pornography, according to police.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office was contacted and two charges of possession of child pornography and one charge of distribution of child pornography were
accepted against Garza.
Garza was booked into the Harris County Jail on $20,000 bond.
