Three heavily-armed suspects murder man in north Houston smoke shop, video released

The Houston Police Department released surveillance video today of three suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a man last night at smoke shop in in north Houston.

The incident occurred at 2623 North Freeway (I-45) at the 45 Smoke Shop around 9 p.m., according to HPD.
The heavily-armed suspects are described only as three Hispanic or Middle Eastern males, armed with long guns and hand guns, HOD reported. The victim, Michael Phelan, 36, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“Three male suspects entered the 45 Smoke Shop at the above address and shot Mr. Phelan,” HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officer M. Condon and Officer C. Liu reported. “They then fled the scene in what is believed to be a dark colored, possibly black, vehicle. At this time there is no known motive.”
