Kick-door robbery leads to murder at 2322 Cleburne

A man was fatally shot at his home in south Houston yesterday during an apparent robbery, according to the Houston Police Department.

The incident occurred at about about 12:30 p.m. at 2322 Clenburne #7, HPD reported.

“The victim was watching television with a friend when there was a knock at his door,” HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M.A. Holbrook and Officer K. McDonald reported. “The friend opened the door and two suspects, described only as a black male and a black female, forced their way into the apartment. One of the suspects shot the victim, and then both suspects robbed the males of their wallets. The suspects then fled in a blue four-door car.”

The identity of the male victim, of the above address, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
