Driver dies running red light at 8800 East Sam Houston Parkway North

A 51-year-old man died Friday night after running a red light into a dead end of a three-way junction off the East Sam Houston North feeder road Friday night, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

“On Friday, Dec. 12, at approximately 11 a.m., Anthony Goodman was operating a white 1990 Buick LeSabre eastbound in the 13600 block of Tidwell Rd., at the intersection of the E Sam Houston Pw N,” Deputy A. Frazier reported. “For an unknown reason Goodman ran the red light at the “T” intersection, crossed the northbound service road and struck a tree in a wooded area. Goodman was pronounced with no signs of life at the scene by Paramedics from South Lake EMS.”

The crash is under investigation by HCSO’s Traffic Enforcement Division.
