Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 2503 Panagard No. 105

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman at 2503 Panagard No. 105 about 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department.

The suspect, Anndrae McTravis Gilbert, 45, is charged with murder in the 183rd State District Court.

The female victim, Ciara Brown, 28, of the above address, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

“HPD patrol officers responded to a disturbance with weapons call at the above address,” HPD Homicide Division Senior Police Officers T. Tyler and Officer S. Sylvester reported. “Upon arrival, they found the front door locked and an apartment window broken. Looking through the broken window, officers saw a crying baby in a bassinet next to a woman [Ms. Brown] lying on the floor. Officers entered and found no one else inside the apartment. Paramedics pronounced Ms. Brown deceased and the baby unharmed. The child was then cared for until family members arrived.”
