An apparent robbery at a southwest Houston residence turned deadly Thursday in front of the victim’s family, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred at 14702 Via Del Norte at about 4:16 p.m.
“On Thursday, Oct. 30, at approximately 5:30 p.m., two Hispanic males entered the complainant’s residence. While the suspects were inside the residence, one of them discharged a firearm striking the complainant, Jesus Rodriguez, and killing him” Deputy R. Spurgeon reported. “The suspects took property belonging to the complainant and demanded that the complainants girlfriend, Cassandra Rodas, to give them the keys to the safe. The suspects fled the scene with the complainants property in hand.”
