Details: On October 9, 2014 at approximately 8:08 AM, the driver of a blue 2007 Dodge Caliber was traveling west bound in the left lane in the 2300 block of W Mount Houston, changed lanes when unsafe and struck a gold 2003 Kia Sorento that was traveling west bound in the center lane. The driver of the Kia lost control and the vehicle rolled over into the east bound lanes of traffic. The driver of a blue 2009 Nissan Murano was traveling east bound in the left lane and struck the right side of the Kia with the front of her vehicle. The driver of the Dodge lost control of his vehicle, entered the east bound lanes of traffic and was struck by a white 1995 Toyota Corolla that was traveling east bound in the right lane. The driver of the Dodge failed to stop to render aid and fled the scene on foot. The driver of the Nissan and the driver of the Toyota were transported to Northwest Medical Center in stable condition. The driver of the Kia and a three year old female passenger were transported to Memorial Hermann in stable condition. An eleven year old male passenger of the Kia was also transported to Memorial Hermann in critical condition. The suspect was later located at his place of employment and was placed into custody. The case is still under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Enforcement Division.
